Changing the Face of Services for Good

Date: Friday 16th November

Venue: Mercure Hotel, Ayr

At this event you will be exposed to a whole experience of fun, learning, discussion, challenge and reflection, should you wish to accept this mission.

Cathy Jamieson MP for Kilmarnock and Loudon will start the day off sharing her experience of the importance of Partners locally, the contribution Partners for Inclusion and partnership working makes to social care in Scotland, the challenges ahead in social care and welfare reform.

Cathy will be followed by Sir John Arbuthnott who will cover key points from reports that he has penned including “Fair Shares for All”, “Putting Citizens First” and “Clyde Valley Review”.

Sir John will link this thinking to the need to involve people who use services as full citizens with rights and responsibilities and will share his thoughts on what challenges and opportunities the future plans for Health and Social Work to form closer working partnerships pose for those of us in the third sector and for the end user of services.
