Letter published in The Guardian protesting at the failure of the media to cover the on-going attacks on disabled and older people in the UK.

The Guardian has published a letter from disability activists, campaigners and academics writing to protest that:
“Some of the press were happy to promote the exaggerated claims of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) which, during five years of coalition government, knowingly misled the public ‘fake’ claimants of disability benefit.”
The letter compares the recent success of the media in holding the UK Government to account for its appalling ‘Hostile Environment’ and its treatment of immigrants to the utter failure of the media to cover the on-going attacks on disabled and older people. The article is available to read at:
