Since 2010 the UK Government has increased funding in some areas, protected funding in other areas and severely targeted funding in others.

Since 2010 the UK Government has increased funding in some areas, protected funding in other areas and severely targeted funding in others. In particular funding for benefits and local government have borne the burden of about half of all the cuts. This is for no good social or economic reason, and is contrary to all principles of justice. Instead, cuts are targeted here because the groups impacted by these cuts lack political support and are subject to stigma and vicious political rhetoric.
