Liz Leach Murphy
Liz founded Imagineer Development CIC in 2009. It supports people to live the lives they want using support brokerage, person centred planning and a range of other approaches to enable the right outcomes.
Liz has worked in the adult social care field for 20 years and is the Chair of the National Brokerage Network, a role which she has had for 4 years. Liz believes in Inclusion, Person Centred Practice and Asset Based Community Development. Her inspiration includes the work of Jack Pearpoint, Marsha Forest, Beth Mount and Simon Duffy. Liz delivers training courses with a focus on person centred planning, graphic facilitation, personalisation and support brokerage to organisations and individuals nationally.
Liz has been part of many different creative ventures:
- The Outsiders - a band which formed in 2009 and are still successfully working together now.
- Imagineer Music Sessions - for people who have a passion for music.
- Beat It Nightclubs - a social event for everyone in local communities to come together.
- Social work student placements for brokerage
Liz works on several projects with different organisations, and is a member of the Learning Disability Alliance. Liz has recently been commissioned by the Open University press to work on a publication based on personalisation in Dementia care.
Liz's interests include music she can play the bass guitar and piano. She also likes gardening and growing vegetables, and taking part in walking challenges in her spare time.
