Anna is passionate about making a positive contribution and working to make a difference for others. She is currently studying for an MA in Social Work.
Prior to this Anna worked for local self-advocacy organisations for twelve years, working with adults with learning disabilities. This work included the co-ordination of a highly successful community connecting project, LifeLink. Anna also developed and co-ordinated a Quality Checking service, and worked with self-advocates to design easy read information, and design and deliver training, as well as supporting self-advocates to speak up.
Anna has always enjoyed working with people, hearing their stories, addressing challenges, resolving problems and being able to help. She hopes that through her current studies she will be able to increase her potential to make a meaningful and direct difference to people’s lives.
Anna’s colleagues say that she is kind and caring, good at researching information, is artistic and has an amazing attention to detail!
