Action:

Join the Board of Imagineer

Imagineer was founded by a Fellow of the Centre for Welfare Reform, Liz Leach. Liz is also Chair of the National Brokerage Network. Imagineer has become increasingly successful and they are looking to recruit new people to their board.

Liz provides some background information here:

Imagineer works with people to support them to realise their dreams and aspirations; we support people who have not had the opportunity to recognise their own ability and skills. We also work to increase the community's understanding of the contribution that everyone can make.

Our mission is to enable people to shape their own future and achieve their aspirations.

Our values are:

  • Positivity - anything is possible
  • Determination - never say never
  • Empowerment - people are the experts in their own lives
  • Integrity - be accountable and be transparent
  • Togetherness - embrace the contribution of others

We realise our values and strive towards our mission using support brokerage, training and development, Beat It sessions and The Outsiders.

More information about us can be found via the following websites:

Our work has recently been recognised in a nomination for the Legend of Leeds Award 2016, Made In Leeds, and the Social Enterprise of the Year Yorkshire and Humber, Social Enterprise Yorkshire and Humber.

Imagineer is going from strength to strength and we would like to encourage more people to join the Board to widen the breadth of knowledge and experience at leadership level.

We are looking for people who share a commitment to the mission and values of Imagineer. It would be especially useful if new members had expertise or experience in financial management, community connecting, marketing or legal advice.

We are based in Halifax in West Yorkshire and work across England. As a member of the Board you would be expected to join board meetings every two months, these last two hours, and can be attended in person or via Skype.

We have a supportive and creative environment with a clear induction process so that people are familiar and confident in the approach we have.

If you'd be interested in joining the Board please email Liz Leach.
